  • 10/2013 - 3/2019: B.Sc. in Chemistry at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg

Bachelor thesis: Single Molecule Force Spectroscopy: Temperature dependence of the streching behaviour of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) in the group of Prof. Dr. Hugel

Research: AFM based characterization of out-of-equilibrium materials

Autonomous assembly of building blocks into structures is a common process in living systems, for example in microtubules. This self-assembly process is often controlled by the concentration of the building blocks and chemical fuels (in Biology often nucleotides).

My objective is to investigate the out-of-equilibrium assembly in an artificial peptide-based system via atomic force microscopy (AFM) imaging in real time.
