Single-molecule FRET to investigate the Hsp90 machinery on a multi-colour TIRF-setup
Hsp90 is one of the most abundant proteins in eukaryotic cells. It acts as a chaperone for kinases and therefore interacts with many different co-chaperones.
The question I want to address is how these complexes form. Do these proteins just randomly bump into each other or is there a certain directionality and sequence of binding events? Who recruits whom? What are their dynamics?
